No — they are Unicode characters, not installed fonts. That is exactly why you can paste them anywhere without the other person needing the font installed.
Two reasons. Accented letters are styled from their plain base, so “café” comes out as a fancy “cafe” — Unicode has no accented fancy letters, so the accent can’t carry over. And a few characters have no fancy form at all (like ß); those we keep as-is and underline in amber instead of dropping them, so your text never has silent gaps.
Most styles do. Each risky card tells you up front where it might break, so you are never guessing — and our Instagram and Discord pages are tuned for those apps specifically.
